8 Week Baby Clinic/Postnatal Clinic

 

  • Well baby clinic for babies  aged 8 weeks -
  • 8 week check and first immunisation and for
  • post -natal check for mum (combined clinic appointment (mother and baby)).

This is run by a doctor by appointment only at our Main Surgery in Manor Road SM6 0DE.  Please book this appointment 2 - 3 weeks prior to 8 weeks of age.  Our staff may also contact you when this appointment is due.

Health Visitors

Health visitor lead clinic and well baby weighing (walk-in) clinics are  held at the Amy Johnson Children's Centre Wallington : Tel: 020 8544 2230. 

The health visitors are based at the AMY JOHNSON CENTRE, Brabazon Avenue, Mollison Drive, Roundshaw Tel 0208 647 3183.

Please note, child immunisations are not available at this clinic.   Contact our recepion to book  Childhood Primary Immunisations (under 5 year olds) led by our practice nurses.

Child health (Under 5 year olds)

Asthma & Diabetic Clinics

These are available at both Main and Branch surgeries and are by appointment only.

 

Family Planning

Dedicated clinics are run by the nurses across both sites regularly on a weekly basis.

 

Well Woman Clinics

These are run on a Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evening (main surgery) and Tuesday evening (branch) surgery by appointment only.

 

Minor Surgery

Dr Amjad will carry out minor surgical procedures at both sites by appointment and will be happy to advise you on this.

 

Patients Over 75 Years

Those patients aged 75 and over who have not seen a Nurse of Health Care Assistant for more than 12 months are entitled to a health check.

Please ask at reception.

Flu Vaccination

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients over 65 and those considered to be at risk who suffer with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes.

We also do nasal flu vaccines for eligible children.

Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit can be arranged. Immunisation against pneumonia is also recommended for the over 65s and those with chronic conditions.

Both of these vaccinations are free of charge for eligible patients.
